Animeals Seeking Animal Food Donations

Animeals program helps feed pets at needy homes.

The only home-delivery animal feeding program in the state is seeking help with donations.

Animeals began in the Summerville area about six months ago, and is connected with Meals on Wheels. Big Hearts of the Lowcountry accepts and coordinates the animal food donations. Petland also accepts donations.

The idea behind Animeals is that when people receive food from Meals on Wheels, sometimes that food is fed to their pets instead.
