Filing for Summerville Town Council Opens Aug. 7

Three Summerville Town Council seats and a Commissioner of Public Works will be on the ballot in November. 

Filing for the municipal elections opens noon Wednesday, Aug. 7, and closes noon Friday, Sept. 6. The offices are nonpartisan, and filing will take place at Town Hall on South Main Street. 

The position on Town Council up for election are Seat 1, 3 and 5, currently held by Aaron Brown, Walter Bailey and Kima Garten-Schmidt, respectively. 

Voters must be registered to vote by Oct. 5 to participate in the November election.
