Fire Destroys Lincolnville Home, Displaces Family
Red Cross responds to help the family.

A Saturday evening fire has destroyed a Lincolnville home.
No injuries were reported, but the fire has displaced two adults and one child. The home is on East Pinckney Street.Â
The Red Cross provided the family with funds to replace food and clothing lost in the blaze, comfort kits containing personal toiletries and a stuffed animal for the child. The family also received referrals to Red Cross partner agencies to assist in meeting any long-term recovery needs.

On average the American Red Cross, Palmetto SC Region responds to a disaster every 6.5 hours. Since the beginning of the fiscal year, July 1, 2012, the Palmetto SC Region has responded to the needs of 1,474 families and 4,798 individuals affected by disasters.
The Palmetto SC Region is made up of seven Red Cross Chapters that span 35-counties of South Carolina.
