
A Summerville teen is facing a charge of driving too fast for conditions following a Monday afternoon wreck on Interstate 26 near mile marker 209.
According to S.C. Highway Patrol, Melissa Buck, 18, was driving her SUV westbound when she struck and injured a motorcyclist standing next to the roadway at around 3 p.m.
Robert Carman, 47, of Ladson was transported to MUSC.
Highway Patrol said Buck was traveling too fast for conditions lost control of the vehicle struck the concrete wall, spun around and struck the motorcycle and the driver that was standing next to the bike.
