Homeowner Shot in Gadsden Acres Home Invasion
James Lamont Singleton charged with burglary, kidnapping and two counts of attempted murder.

A Gadsden Acres home invasion ended with the homeowner being shot, and a Lincolnville teenager being charged with burglary, kidnapping and attempted murder.Â
The incident happened 1:45 a.m. Thursday, according to Summerville Police.Â
Police said the suspect James Lamont Singleton, 18, of Lincolnville had forced entry into the residence at 114 Pintail Dr. and, during the burglary, the homeowner was shot.Â

The homeowner was transported to a local hospital and remains there for treatment.
Singleton was arrested near the scene and charged with burglary first degree, two counts of attempted murder, kidnapping, and possession of a firearm during a violent crime.Â
