Just Say No to Summer 'Brain Drain' with These Tools
Dorchester Two offers education enhancement tools this summer.

It's summer — have you thought about how you're going to keep your children from getting the dreaded summer brain drain?
Dorchester County School District Two has three Parent Involvement Centers to serve students and their families, even during summer vacation. The purpose of the centers is simple: to provide parents the tools they need to enhance their child’s learning through play. Â
The centers are located at Knightsville Elementary School (847 Orangeburg Road), Spann Elementary School (901 John McKissick Way), and Windsor Hill Arts Infused Elementary School (8600 William Moultrie Dr., North Charleston). They are housed in mobile units behind the schools with signs posted. Â
There is a variety of award winning, engaging materials and games available at the centers for parents to check out and take home to use with their children at no cost. These include Rosetta Stone, Leap Frog Systems, Student Buddy handheld learning systems by Brainchild, and more.
