Lieber Death Row Inmate Found Dead in Cell

Kenneth Justus, death row inmate at Leiber was found deceased in his cell Tuesday morning, according to Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nisbet.

An autopsy is planned for Wednesday morning. 

Justus was serving two life sentences at Lieber for an armed robbery and fatally shooting two people in Oconee County when, in July 2005, he fatally stabbed fellow inmate Justin Bregenzer. 

Justus was sentenced in 2008 for Bregenzer's death. He had actively sought the death penalty, and even wrote a note to the judge asking for the sentence.
