Man Stabbed with Broken Bottle Near Ladson Road

Robber allegedly stabs man at least 20 times.

A 27-year-old Summerville man was admitted to Nason Medical with about 20-25 stab wounds to his right shoulder from a broken bottle, according to a Summerville Police report. 

The victim said he was walking on the path behind the Hess Express at 4306 Ladson Road on Wednesday, July 16, when he heard someone say behind him "Give me your (expletive) wallet!" The victim told police he turned around and took a swing at the man demanding his wallet, but the alleged robber had a broken bottle and began stabbing him. 

The victim told police the incident was brief and, after, the man ran off toward Planters Retreat. The victim ran down the way to Nason Medical to seek medical treatment.
