NCPD Charges Ladson Man Following Drug Search

Three men are facing several drug-related charges after the North Charleston Police Department served a search warrant on a home on Ashley Shores Drive

Two North Charleston men and a third man from Ladson are facing several drug-related charges following a search at a home on Ashley Shores Drive.

North Charleston Police searched the home at 3851 Ashley Shores Drive as part of an ongoing investigation, according to a NCPD statement. They recovered 3.1 grams of marijuana, 139 grams of cocaine and 71.4 grams of cocaine base, along with items used to weigh, manufacture and distribute illegal items, and a Phoenix Arms .25 caliber handgun.  

Ray Williams, 24, of 3851 Ashley Shores Drive is charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine within a half-mile of a school, trafficking cocaine base, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine  base within a half-mile of a school, manufacturing cocaine base, manufacturing cocaine base within a half-mile of a school and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

Shawn Jenkins, 25, of 7765 Wayfield Drive in North Charleston is charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine within a half-mile of a school, trafficking cocaine base, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine base within a half-mile of a school, manufacturing cocaine base, manufacturing cocaine base within a half-mile of a school and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

Carldell Brown, 29, of 301 Vasser Court in Ladson is charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine within a half-mile of a school, trafficking cocaine base, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine  base within a half-mile of a school, manufacturing cocaine base, manufacturing cocaine base within a half-mile of a school and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
