Police: Father Stabs Daughter with Scissors

Summerville Police have arrested a man they say stabbed his 16-year-old daughter with scissors during a June 18 altercation. 

Police were dispatched to the Germantown area in reference to two people arguing. When officers arrived, the male suspect attempted to drive away but his vehicle was stuck in the mud. 

According to the police report, the daughter told police he stabbed her in the leg with a pair of scissors and bit her right shoulder blade. Police observed bleeding from her left leg. 

As police attempted to arrest the man, he allegedly resisted. When he would not comply with orders, officers twice deployed a Taser to subdue him, according to the report.

The man, who's identity is being withheld so as not to identify the victim, was charged with assault and battery second degree.
