Sheriff's Office Releases Identity of Man Critically Wounded in Ridgeville Shooting
MUSC unable to provide information on victim's status.

As friends of the man wounded in a Ridgeville club shooting Sunday morning tried to drive him to the hospital for urgent medical attention, their vehicle ran out of gas, stranding them on Interstate 26, according to a Dorchester County incident report.Â
The vehicle contained Phillip Alexander Moorer, 22, of Ridgeville, who was shot in the abdomen at Club Bubba's in Ridgeville. The nightclub is located at the corner of Campbell Thicket Road and Wishbone Road.
Berkeley County EMS responded to their stranded vehicle and took Moorer to the hospital. Moorer was listed in critical condition Sunday through MUSC. According to a MUSC spokesman, an update on Moorer's condition is not available as of Monday.Â
The two men driving Moorer told deputies they had gone to the club to pick him up, but after they got there an unknown person came into the club and started shooting. Moorer sustained two gunshot wounds. One of the men with him suffered a gunshot wound to his leg.Â
While driving Moorer to the hospital, the vehicle ran out of gas at mile marker 200, according to the report. Another vehicle was found in possible connection to the incident with a hole in a window and two flat tires on Interstate 26 — it is registered to a family member of one of the men in the vehicle with Moorer.Â
