Summerville Man Found Guilty of Bribing Mail Carrier for Drug Deliveries

Daniel Dewayne Bell sentenced to 12 years in prison.

A Summerville man will spend the next 12 years in jail after he was found guilty of trying to bribe a mail carrier to cover up shipments of marijuana, the Post and Courier reported.

The publication reported:

"On April 27, 2012, Daniel Dewayne Bell, 27, showed a mail carrier marijuana in a package he was receiving and offered the carrier $1,000 a month to let Bell know if police were investigating his drug trafficking, according to U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles."
