Summerville Man Takes Top Prize at Cupcake Eating Contest

What takes the crown at a cupcake-eating contest? Fourteen cupcakes. 

David Hester, 21, of Summerville downed 14 cupcakes to become the Cupcake Champion of the Grand Strand, News 13 of Myrtle Beach reported.

"[My] technique would be to use water liberally, you know, it's a very spongy food once you get it wet, and it helps it slide down easier," Hester told News 13.
