Teenager Reports Attempted Kidnapping in Plum Creek

A 15-year-old girl has told Dorchester County deputies that while she was walking in the Plum Creek subdivision at around midnight Wednesday, a unknown man attempted to grab her and pull her into the truck.

She told police she was struck in the cheek by the assailant's elbow, and said she struggled until she could break free. 

According to the victim, adults in the neighborhood went searching for the assailant prior to calling the police. There was nearly two hours between the incident time and the police report.
