Thousands Flock To Support The Campbells

The Caring Carnival featured family activities and a silent auction to raise money for the couple.

Friday evening, nearly 3,000 people came out to Beech Hill Elementary to support the Summerville couple injured in a high speed chase last month.

Julius and Lois Campbell were hospitalized after a wreck involving bank robbery suspects attempting to evade capture in Givhans. Julius is the head cook at Oscar's Place, and Lois is a custodian at Beech Hill Elementary.

The Caring Carnival featured family activities and a silent auction to raise money for the couple.

More than $15,000 was raised during the event.
