Town Council Approves Mayoral Raise, Additional Duties
Bill Collins will earn triple the pay for acting as town administrator.

Summerville Mayor Bill Collins was granted a pay raise through absorbing additional duties Wednesday, the Post and Courier reported.
Town Council voted to approve paying Collins $45,000 — a 300 percent pay increase over his original $15,000. He absorbed the duties of town administrator. If the town hired a full-time administrator, it would be an additional $165,000 with salary and benefits. The increase in pay won't begin until 2014.
