Touchmark at All Saints' residents get "inkspired" at tattoo shop

It’s not every day you find a group of older adults touring a tattoo shop and learning about the experiences of a tattoo artist—but on April 30, 2025, this was how residents from Touchmark at All Saints spent the morning.

The outing was part of the senior living community’s Adventurous Agers series, which presents residents with unique opportunities to check off items on their “bucket list” and explore unexpected community activities.

Tattoos are a bold form of self-expression and creativity, and they represent the right to be seen as you choose to be. Older adults today are increasingly rewriting the rules of what it means to age and choosing to celebrate life’s experiences.

While at Heart Tattoo, the group was treated to a behind-the-scenes look at the studio, engaged in an informal Q&A with artists and got “inked” with temporary tattoos.
