- Tennessee Aquarium's Chief Operating Officer Jackson Andrews has announced that he is stepping down from his position after working with the aquarium for the last 32 years. The aquarium credits Jackson with developing and growing the facility to become a nationally-respected institution that helped to attract 27 million visitors to the city. (WTVC)
- Officials estimate the groundbreaking for the new Chattanooga Lookouts stadium will probably be moved to sometime late in the summer. Back in August, city officials tentatively planned for the groundbreaking to take place in April, but on Thursday, officials said they are still making preparations before they are able to seek financing for the $79.5 million project. - The ninth annual St. Patrick's Day block party "St. Paddy's Party on the Parkway" is once again coming to Patten Square. This year, the event will run on Mar. 18 from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. The event will feature 10 musical performances on two stages, plus food vendors, art and crafts vendors, and other special performances.
