  1. Chattanooga State has launched its Automotive Toolkit Initiative. The program is a collaboration between automotive groups and Chattanooga State. The program is meant to improve student access and retention in the automotive technician program. Program students will be receiving $81,000 worth of toolkits. (News Channel 9)
  2. The Chattanooga Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Lee Highway Saturday night. The shooting initially came into the department as a "shots fired" call. The department detained a man at the scene for outstanding warrants. Two shooting victims arrived at local hospitals later that night. The department's initial investigation indicates that the shooting was an isolated event. (WDEF)
  3. After months of steadily declining gas prices, Chattanooga's average price of gas has increased by 6.2 cents. The average price of gas is currently $3.32 per gallon in Chattanooga. The increase is attributed to a rise in customer demand. Despite the local increase, the national average has posted a modest weekly decline. (Chattanoogan)
