  1. The Hamilton County Health Department has begun to distribute the Bivalent COVID-19 vaccine booster. The booster will be distributed at all department health clinics. The booster is meant to target the BA.4 and BA.5 Omicron subvariants. Click to learn more about vaccine boosters. (Chattanooga Pulse)
  2. Marie Mott, a candidate for Chattanooga's District 8 council seat, is defending her comments about Jewish slave owners. The comments were made in 2020 and were resurfaced on social media. In a video, Mott states that Jews "participated in the institution of chattel slavery" and "joined the Confederacy." Mott declined to elaborate on her remarks but did defend her statements in a series of Tweets. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
  3. After 40 years of operation, Bojangles has shut down its first Chattanooga restaurant. The 2,970 square-foot location on Hixson Pike has officially shut down, and the sign has been removed. The restaurant first came into the area in 1982. Bojangles operates more than 750 restaurants in 14 states. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
