Here are the top three stories today in Chattanooga:
- Hamilton County Schools has announced a series of community meetings. The meetings are meant for students, families, staff, neighbors, business leaders, and elected officials to discuss the future of the district's schools. The first community meeting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at East Brainerd Elementary at 6:00 p.m. Click for the full meeting schedule. (WDEF)
- Chattanooga's holiday travel has rebounded to pre-COVID-19 pandemic levels. According to the air travel date, today (Nov. 23) will be the busiest travel day with Sunday, Nov. 27 as the busiest travel day for returns. Car travel will be up 1.5 percent compared to last year. Chattanooga's average gas price is 54 cents lower than the national average. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
- The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce is searching for a new CEO to lead the organization. The board of directors has selected the consulting firm Waverly Partners to assist in the search. Christy Gillenwater has been the CEO for the last five years. She is leaving to head the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
