- The Nehemiah Project has partnered with the Chattanooga Area Food Bank to distribute backpacks full of school supplies. The collaboration is meant to support Chattanooga area families during the back-to-school season. The backpacks contained rulers, pencils, crayons, glue sticks, a bible, and more. According to the organizations, one in six children in the county suffer from food insecurity. (WTVC)
- Chattanooga State's Registration Resort Day is this Saturday. The popular event will be from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 4501 Amnicola Highway. The event will feature activities, music, tours, food, and information. The first day of classes is Aug. 15. (Chattanooga Pulse)
- The Hamilton County Health Department has confirmed three cases of Monkeypox. The announcement was made on Tuesday by the department. Close contacts of the confirmed cases are being alerted. The contagious virus has been sweeping across the country since May. A Monkeypox infection can last up to four weeks. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
