- Chattanooga's efforts to save energy reduced the city's operational costs by nearly $2 million. Since joining the challenge by the U.S. Department of Energy to reduce energy use in 2015, the city has since reached and surpassed its goal. Compared to 2013 levels, Chattanooga has reduced its energy use by 36 percent across 2 million square feet of municipal building space. (Chattanooga Pulse)
- A driver of a leaf-blowing truck was trapped when the vehicle rolled over in nearby Hixson. After fire companies removed the truck's roof and rescued the driver, he was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. (WTVC)
- The Walmart on Shallowford Road recently sold for $9.2 million. The grocery store closed in February 2021 due to reports that it was not profitable. (The Chattanoogan)
