Here are the top three stories today in Chattanooga:

  1. Chattanooga's Jehovah's Witnesses announce the return of its door-to-door ministry efforts. The group suspended the ministry for more than two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The door-to-door ministry will reportedly restart on Sep. 1. (The Chattanoogan)
  2. Chattanooga's Ripple Theater plans to reopen on Sep. 9. The theater has been undergoing extensive renovations for the last seven years. The theater will reopen with a production of the award-winning "Circuit Rider's Wife...The Musical." This will be the first time the musical has been performed in Chattanooga. Click to get tickets.   3. The City of Chattanooga reports that Texas migrants will no longer stop in Chattanooga. According to the mayor's office, the city's hospitality did not "exactly achieve the [Texas] governor's political purposes." Since this last weekend, 51 migrants stopped in Chattanooga. (The Chattanoogan)
