Here are the top three stories in Chattanooga today:

  1. The Hamilton County Health Department will start offering free flu vaccinations next week. The vaccinations will be offered to anyone ages six months and older starting on Monday, Nov. 21. There is no need to make an appointment to receive the flu vaccinations. Click for the county's flu information report. (Chattanooga Pulse)
  2. Representatives from three Chattanooga families joined the Nashville DEA for a local Family Summit on Wednesday. The event included over 30 families from Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia. The purpose of the event is to work together to prevent others from experiencing the loss of loved ones to drug overdoses. Participants shared information, built connections, and fostered collaboration during the Family Summit. (Chattanoogan.com)
  3. Virginia-based Food City has broken ground on a new location in Chattanooga. The 53,300-square-foot supermarket will be located at 1375 Broad Street. It will likely open in late summer of 2023, according to Food City. The location will feature an in-store bakery, deli, Asian wok, hot food bar, and sushi bar. (Winsight Grocery Business)
