- The U.S. News & World Report named Siskin Hospital West as one of the best nursing homes for short-term rehabilitation. U.S. News & World Report rated more than 15,000 nursing homes nationwide on care, safety, infection rates, staffing, and other factors. Siskin Hospital West is part of the 16 percent of U.S. nursing homes to earn a "best nursing home" designation this year. (The Chattanoogan)
- The Chattanooga City Council voted to raise tow truck prices from $125 to $250 for daytime rates. For tows on nights, weekends, and holidays, expect the fees to be more than doubled. Tow truck rates haven't risen in Chattanooga for 18 years. (WDEF News 12)
- A University of Tennessee at Chattanooga sophomore will compete in the 2022 International Weightlifting Federation World Championships in Bogota, Columbia. Olivia Reeves is currently ranked No. 1 in the U.S. in the only two competitive weightlifting categories. She will compete next Monday, Dec. 12, in the hopes of earning a chance to be in the 2024 Olympics. (Chattanooga Pulse)

- RISE Chattanooga's "Black Nativity" performance was supposed to open to a three-night opening this weekend, but thanks to flu season hitting the crew and cast, the performance has been postponed. However, the organization is still planning a holiday performance! They'll be bringing a special One Night Only Holiday Performance on Sunday, Dec. 11. (Chattanooga Pulse)
- It's never too early to plan for a great gala. The Tivoli Theater Foundation announced the date for its 2023 annual gala. The gala will be held at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium on Feb. 24 and will feature Bob Weir and the Wolf Bros. (Chattanooga Pulse)
- So many animals need a loving forever home this holiday season! If you're looking for a new furry family member, the East Ridge Animal Services is waiving all adoption fees throughout the month of December. (The Chattanoogan)
