- Auditions for the "Nutcracker! Magic of Christmas Ballet" will be on Aug. 16. Auditions will be held at Ballet Espirit at 5:00 p.m. Local ballet students will have the opportunity to dance alongside an international cast. The ballet is scheduled for Nov. 21 at Chattanooga's Memorial Hall at 7:00 p.m. (The Chattanoogan)
- The Leadership Chattanooga Class of 2023 has been announced. The program is meant for established professionals in the Chattanooga area. The class members will participate in a 10-month curriculum focused on leadership skills. Click for the full list of 45 members. (The Chattanoogan)
- The Hamilton County Commission has approved a vital funding mechanism for the new multi-use stadium. The approval has been given for the creation of a body to oversee the issuance of bonds for the stadium that will be used for the Chattanooga Lookouts. The $79.5 million stadium will be at the site of the former U.S. Pipe/Wheland Foundry. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)

- Outdoor Chattanooga will be hosting an Adult Archery event on Aug. 9 at 11:00 a.m. The event will involve trivia and target-style games. No experience is required. (City of Chattanooga)
