Here are the top three stories in Chattanooga today:

  1. La Paz Chattanooga is partnering with Girls Inc. and two other programs to accommodate the city's fast-growing Latino population. The new partnership represents La Paz's tenth onsite community program that aims to teach conflict resolution, healthy relationship building, and goal setting for girls in grades three to five. The partnership with Girls Inc. will bring the “discovery girl” program that aims to equip girls with the skills and knowledge to strengthen their character. There are currently two other programs in the works. (WDEF News 12)
  2. On Tuesday, Councilwoman Raquetta Dotley introduced an ordinance that would limit traffic on Station Street. The limitations would apply from Market to Rossville Street, Thursday through Sunday from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. According to Dotley, there is too much foot traffic spilling into the street during these times. The second part of the ordinance says that each business on or near Station Street must provide general security. (WTVC)
  3. The 110th Anniversary Women’s Suffrage Reenactment March is slated for Friday, Mar. 31 at 12:00 p.m. The march, organized by the Chattanooga Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, will start at the lawn of the Hamilton County Court House and begin the ¼ mile procession down Georgia Avenue towards Miller Park. A formal 30-minute program will be hosted at Miller Park at 12:30 p.m. (Chattanooga Pulse)
