Here are the top three stories today in Chattanooga:

1. There will not be any lane closures in Chattanooga over Labor Day Weekend. The Tennessee Department of Transportation has announced that it will be halting all lane closures on state highways and interstates between Friday and Tuesday. The decision will allow for optimal roadway capacity for travelers. (Chattanoogan)
2. Chattanooga's municipal utility, EPB, has announced the launch of a new internet service. The community-wide 25 Gbps service features symmetrical upload and download speeds. The stunningly fast speeds were reportedly achieved using Nokia's symmetrical 25G PON fiber broadband technology. (Telecompaper.com)
3. Following weeks of declining gas prices in Chattanooga, prices rose by 5.1 cents last week. Despite the weekly increase, gas prices in Chattanooga are still 35.5 cents lower than they were in July. The average gas price is currently $3.32 per gallon, according to GasBuddy. (Chattanoogan)
