  1. Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has opened an investigation into an officer-involved shooting that resulted in the death of a fugitive. The shooting occurred on Wednesday morning in the 7000 block of Shallowford Road. The officer was with the U.S. Marshals Service. John R. Wells Jr. died during the shooting.   2. The Tennessee Aquarium IMAX 3D Theater has welcomed its 9-millionth guest. The theater first opened on May 1, 1996. The 9-millionth guest was Amanda Brock, who attended with her daughter Lenie Kate. Brock was presented with a celebratory gift package that included hotel tickets, aquarium passes, and various gift items. Click for a list of the theater's most successful film screenings.   3. A Chattanooga Police Department cadet has been arrested for driving under the influence. Brielle Leary, 34 years old, was arrested by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department after a single-vehicle accident on Hale Road. According to the arrest report, Leary was "unsteady on her feet" and almost fell to the ground twice. She has been released on a $3,000 bond. (The Chattanoogan)
