Chemical Exposure Sends 6 to Hospital (powderbulksolids.com) — Six workers were hospitalized after a chlorine gas exposure Friday morning at the Mars Wrigley M&M plant in Cleveland, prompting a brief shutdown of the affected area. Cleveland firefighters say the gas was contained and the air cleared before operations resumed, and the company reports no lasting injuries or impact on the surrounding community or products.
4. AAA: TN Gas Prices Down Four Cents (williamsonsource.com) — Drivers in Cleveland are now paying about $2.49 per gallon, placing the city among Tennessee’s least expensive metro areas for gas. AAA reports statewide prices have dropped four cents over the past week, with lower crude oil costs and weaker demand likely keeping prices down through year’s end.
