Cleveland Police, with help from numerous local and state agencies, continue working the case while the community rallies around the victims’ families, who have already received significant support through fundraising efforts.

Raiders roll past Pounders, again (clevelandbanner.com) — Cleveland High’s Blue Raiders thrilled home fans at Raider Arena, storming back from an early deficit to beat Chattanooga Central 61-45 and move above .500. Cleveland tropical fish store owner pleads guilty to tax evasion (newschannel9.com) — A Cleveland tropical fish shop owner has admitted to failing to turn over more than $105,000 in collected sales taxes, receiving two years’ probation and an order to repay the money. State revenue officials say the case shows retailers can face felony charges for not remitting sales tax, and they’re urging residents to report suspected tax fraud involving local businesses.

Cedarville Faculty Shape the Future of AI in Higher Education (cedarville.edu) — Cleveland recently hosted a national Christian Business Faculty Association conference where Cedarville University business professors were honored for their work on ethical AI in online education. Their award-winning paper outlines a Christian values-based framework to keep human presence, integrity, and moral responsibility at the center of AI-powered virtual learning. The project builds on earlier research about how generative AI is reshaping professors’ roles.
