- A woman has been charged after her three-year-old daughter was found wandering outside on Sunday, Jul. 9 in East Nashville. Officers responded to calls from Duke Street about a little girl walking alone outside, and when they arrived, the girl led the officers back to her home. Officers waited over an hour for the child's mother, Victoria Miranda, 26, to arrive. Miranda was charged with felony child neglect, arrested, and released shortly after. She gave permission for her child to leave with family members, and the Department of Children's Services was alerted. (WSMV)
- Police are investigating a shooting in East Nashville that left 68-year-old Thomas Roberts dead. The incident occurred on Sunday, Jul. 9 around 8:00 p.m. When officers responded, Christine Roberts - the victim's wife - admitted to shooting her husband because he had cheated.
