Nashville Nixes Nine New Pedal Taverns
No new woo-wagons were approved at Thursday's Transportation Licensing Commission meeting.
NASHVILLE, TN — Metro's Transportation Licensing Commission put the brakes on requests for nine new pedal taverns Thursday, rejecting approval for two new companies and expansions from existing woo-wagon operators.
Three companies — Nashville Pedal Tavern, Sprocket Tours and Country Music Crawler — are permitted to operate the bicycle/beer bar combos downtown, which are much beloved by tourists but are considered, at best, an inconvenience by most locals.

The TLC said it believes downtown is at "capacity" for people-powered mobile bars and that it wants to see how new regulations play out before approving more operators.
