Arlington, Texas - The Arlington Parks and Recreation team has planned a bunch of fun outdoor events for June. Let's dive into what they've got in store for you.

Dottie Teen Quest Camps

Starting with the Dottie Teen Quest Camps, they're organizing special mini-camps for teenagers between 12-15 years old. These camps take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and they'll take you on day trips across the city where you can explore art, games, and outdoor adventures.

Juneteenth Cookout

Next up is a special cookout on Wednesday, June 14 for those aged 50 and above. This event will celebrate Juneteenth at the East Library and Recreation Center starting at noon. There will be burgers, prizes, and more. Don't forget to register first by calling 817-275-1351.

Dallas Wings Game & Juneteenth Celebration Day Trip

On Saturday, June 17, there's a day trip planned that includes watching a Dallas Wings basketball game and celebrating Juneteenth. A $40 ticket gets you lunch and a ride to the College Park Center in Arlington.

Let's Get Fishy With It!

Are you interested in fishing? On Friday, June 23, you can learn all about it at the Cliff Nelson Recreation Center. This event is free to join and doesn't need registration. Just note that the number of fishing poles is limited.

GLOW Girls Nature Photography

Finally, on Saturday, June 24, there's a nature photography workshop planned for girls aged 8-12. The workshop is called GLOW Girls Nature Photography, and it's designed to help girls learn about photography. The best part is that it's free!
