1. Lights at Interlochen is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Here's how to best navigate it (dallasnews.com) — If you’re heading to the Lights at Interlochen, Arlington police want you entering only from Westwood Drive at Randol Mill Road and prepared for long waits. Traffic posts, closed side streets, and a dedicated emergency lane are in place nightly through Dec. 25, so plan weekday visits, buckle up, and pack snacks to avoid leaving the line.
   

2. State Awards $25 Million to Advance Cotton Belt Trail Construction (northdallasgazette.com) — State leaders have awarded $25 million to help complete the Cotton Belt Trail, a key east‑west biking and walking route that will link into DFW Airport and the new Silver Line rail, improving options for Arlington-area travelers. As more segments open, residents will gain safer, car‑free connections to jobs, schools, and recreation across multiple nearby cities.
   

3. Arrest Made In Arlington Road Rage Death (cw33.com) — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a deadly road-rage shooting on I-30 in Arlington that claimed the life of 26-year-old Brittany Daniel. Police say a 20-year-old man is charged with murder after allegedly firing into her car while driving. Family and friends have already held a balloon release and are planning a memorial as they look toward justice.
   

4. Man faces murder charge after victim is shot outside Arlington bar, police say (star-telegram.com) — Arlington police have arrested a 31-year-old man on a murder charge after a 33-year-old victim was fatally shot outside a bar on Northeast Green Oaks Boulevard early Friday. Another person was arrested on an interference charge, and both are now in Arlington City Jail as investigators continue the case.
