Teachers in this Tarrant County school district earn the highest salaries (fortworthreport.org) — Arlington ISD currently leads west DFW in teacher pay, with starting salaries at $66,100 and most experience levels topping neighboring districts, according to a new comparison by the United Educators Association. The analysis of 32 districts shows only 30-year veterans earn slightly more in Irving ISD, while statewide legislative pay raises also helped boost compensation across Texas.
   

2. Vikings fan hit by pickup truck near AT&T Stadium, police say (tspantx.com) — Arlington police are investigating a hit-and-run after a Vikings fan was struck by a dark-colored pickup truck near Stadium Drive while leaving the Cowboys game, leaving him with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers say the driver did not stop, and they’re now working with witness accounts to identify the vehicle and suspect.
   

3. Texas Christkindl Market celebrates 15 years of German holiday festivities in Arlington (fortworthreport.org) — Arlington’s Texas Christkindl Market is marking 15 years of bringing German-style holiday huts, food, and gifts to the Entertainment District near Choctaw Stadium. Organizers and vendors describe a tight-knit community that returns each season, rooted in Arlington’s sister-city relationships with German towns. The market has become a festive gathering spot for North Texans, including many veterans with ties to Germany.
   

4. Wednesday's Child: Sisters Saydee & Justice have a Christmas wish (wfaa.com) — Two foster sisters, Saydee and Justice, are currently living apart but met up at Alley Cats in Arlington to share some rare time together and talk about their biggest Christmas wish: being adopted into the same forever family. After five years in foster care, they’re hoping an Arlington-area family will step forward so they can grow up under one roof. Interested families are urged to contact the Heart Gallery of North Texas.
   

5. Arlington Bowie retires Pistons superstar Cade Cunningham's number ahead of game vs. Mavs (dallasnews.com) — James Bowie High School in Arlington retired NBA star Cade Cunningham’s No. 2 jersey while he was back in North Texas for the Pistons’ game against the Mavericks. Cunningham thanked his hometown for its support, saying he’s proud to be from Arlington and still feels overwhelmed by the love when he returns.
