Arlington - According to Dallas Metro News, the Chicago's celebrated culinary institution Portillo's is poising itself to expand its gastronomic boundaries deeper into the vast expanse of North Texas, as specific prospective locations start to emerge from the shadows.

In a calculated approach, Portillo's is diligently orchestrating blueprints for forthcoming establishments in north Fort Worth, Arlington, and Allen, as affirmed by digital reports and spokespersons. The news of a strategically situated Allen outpost, poised on the southern cusp of Allen Premium Outlets mall, was divulged earlier this month. Follow-up affirmations of future endeavors in Arlington and Fort Worth surfaced from the digitized trove of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram first unleashed the revelation of the Fort Worth site. Portillo's, however, maintains a measured silence regarding definite opening dates for these anticipated culinary additions, although hints at grand inaugurations for the Allen and Arlington restaurants within this year have surfaced.

Destined to embellish the locale at 4200 S. Cooper Street, the Arlington offshoot sits across from the teeming Parks Mall. The Fort Worth establishment, on the other hand, is positioned for installation at the crossroads of Tarrant and Tehama Ridge Parkways. Interestingly, the Fort Worth site carries a "for review only" status in licensing annals, hinting at possible modifications.

The Arlington site's construction schedule forecasts a spring culmination, followed by the Fort Worth establishment's completion slated for December 2023, according to digital chronicles.

On January 18, Portillo's first marked its culinary presence in North Texas with the inauguration of an outlet in The Colony, which quickly endeared itself to North Texans' hearts and taste buds. The sprawling 7,900-square-foot facility promptly racked up an imposing daily revenue average of $48,000, as disclosed during the corporation's Q1 earnings declaration.

Portillo's, trading under the ticker $PTLO, holds a commanding position on the NASDAQ stock exchange. The Colony restaurant, celebrated grandly upon its inauguration, swiftly became the corporation's crown jewel nationwide, inciting a spirited response that has set a formidable benchmark for its impending sibling locales.

"This means it's been matching the volumes of restaurants in Chicago that have been open for decades," Portillo's CEO Michael Osanloo said on the March 2 earnings call.

"Specifically, The Colony has averaged $48,000 in sales per day since the grand opening. Now, that annualizes to $17 million per year; and that's a crazy number, so please don't model that. It's definitely coming down. But we feel really good that this restaurant will significantly exceed our underwriting expectations and sets us up for further success in Texas as we continued to expand."
