Lovestruck 5K/10K Brings the Love to Houston Saturday, February 15

Houston Running Company (HRC) is thrilled to announce that its Lovestruck 5K/10K event will take place at a brand-new venue this year – the beautiful Willow Waterhole, located right in the middle of Houston – but will still showcase the positive and upbeat atmosphere as a nod to Valentine’s Day. The event will take place Saturday, February 15, with both events starting at 7:30 a.m., followed by an epic post-race party!

This event is the first of nine events that make up HRC’s Houston Holiday Series to be held throughout the year. Special offers and additional swag are added benefits to participants who choose to register for five or more of the HRC Holiday Series events.

Lovestruck’s theme emulates hairband love ballads with a rocker vibe and salutes all the love that surrounds the Valentine’s Day holiday.

“Everyone can benefit from a little extra “love,” and that is what the Lovestruck 5K/10K delivers – the vibe is uplifting, fun and all around happy,” said Randi Schooley, HRC co-founder. “We invite people of all fitness levels to experience what has made this event such a draw for the last seven years.”

In line with all the positive vibrations, Lovestruck participants will also help to give back to four deserving charities through HRC’s Foundation. Charity beneficiaries include Ainsley's Angels, The Asher House Animal Sanctuary, LifeGift Organ Donation and Kids Meals.

Awards will be given out at the post-race party for the Top 3 Overall Male/Female and Top 3 Masters Overall Male/Female. First Place Age Group Winners will be mailed awards post event. All participants will receive a box of chocolates and a finishers medal.
