Leander City Offices Close Amid Rising Coronavirus Rates

The main lobbies of several municipal buildings were closed on Monday after having been reopened last month, officials said.

LEANDER, TX — The main lobbies of several municipal buildings in Leander were closed on Monday amid a sharp increase in community spread of the coronavirus, officials said.

The move comes after reports of illness spikes from the Williamson County and Cities Health District. The resulting mass closures are during normal business hours starting Monday. The city previously had reopened the offices in October before the upward trend of respiratory illness, city officials said on the City of Leander website.
