Leander City Offices Close Amid Rising Coronavirus Rates

LEANDER, TX — The main lobbies of several municipal buildings in Leander were closed on Monday amid a sharp increase in community spread of the coronavirus, officials said.

The move comes after reports of illness spikes from the Williamson County and Cities Health District. The resulting mass closures are during normal business hours starting Monday. The city previously had reopened the offices in October before the upward trend of respiratory illness, city officials said on the City of Leander website.

Affected public lobby areas are shown below. Phone numbers will be posted at each facility for customers to contact if assistance is needed:

• Utilities/City Hall — bill payments will be accepted by drop-off, phone or online. Contact 512-259-1142 for support.
