Leander Kids Enjoy Opportunities To Experience Summer Fun

Families are invited to learn more about the various summer camps open to kids ages 3-14 happening throughout the community.

LEANDER, TX—The beginning of the new school year is right around the corner, but Leander families (open to children ages 3-14) still have opportunities to enjoy summer fun with July and August summer camps happening in the community. From Minecraft to dance and tumbling, check out some of the offerings and links to open registration for the various summer camps available in Leander.

July 26 - 30 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., Ages 5-7

Bring Minecraft to life using tens of thousands of Lego parts! Build engineer-designed projects such as a Creeper, a Lava Trap, and a Minecart. Create your favorite Minecraft mobs, tools, and objects with the guidance of a Play Well instructor.


July 26 - 30 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m., Ages 7-11
Bring Minecraft to life in the Master class! Build an Iron Golem, the Nether Portal, and the Ender Dragon. Students will explore real world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture while building their favorite Minecraft objects.

Kinderdance Kamp

Kinderdance Kamp will be held at the Library Annex Building (1101 S. Bagdad Rd.).
Class fee is $100.00
Kinderdance Kamp is for potty trained children from 3-7 years old.
This camp includes lots of fun, dance, tumbling, story time, and crafts. Campers can bring a snack and water.

July 19 - 23 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Theme: Jungle Safari


August 2 - 6 from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Theme: Beach Party

Camp Curiosity

Camp Curiosity will be held at the Library Annex Building (1101 S. Bagdad Rd.).
Class fee is $185 for half days and $320 for full days.
Feed your young creators’ sense of discovery with this exciting camp. Camp Curiosity Art and Science is a fun, friendly environment where children get to explore and create. Full and half-day camps available. There are different science projects each day with educational videos and discussions during the science section. We will create a paper mache sculpture during the Art section, experiment with paint, draw and learn about famous artists in history, and have an Art Showcase! Curious yet? Full day campers will need to bring a sack lunch.
July 26 - 30
Art Only (AM) from 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Science Only (PM) from 1 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Full Day Camp from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
