- The Dallas-Fort Worth area has an enhanced risk of severe weather on Thursday night, including thunderstorms, hail, and tornadoes. Gulf moisture will sit in parts of North Texas and is expected to trigger a few showers and storms this morning (Feb. 28). The greatest threat looms along the I-35 corridor, but "that could change based on the speed of the system." (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)
- Local rapper 2G.Kaash, real name Ghazi Harris, is facing a murder charge over the Jan. 19 killing of Khurram Ali. Court documents showed that Ali, 33, was shot while sitting in a parking lot on North Central Expressway. According to a friend of his, Ali was scheduled to meet up with Harris to buy marijuana before he was shot. Harris had recently signed a record deal with Kodak Black's Sniper Gang Records. He is now being held without bond at the Dallas County Jail. (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)
- Builders of Hope Community Development Corporation unveiled an anti-displacement toolkit to Dallas committee members on Monday. Builders of Hope presented maps to committee members showing the vulnerability of Dallas neighborhoods to displacement, along with a geographic look at housing market changes. The toolkit uses data to help the community identify neighborhoods where gentrification is most prominent. The goal is to provide guidance into development decisions.
