  1. Starting on Monday, Jul. 3, the Dallas Police Department is asking residents to report non-emergency situations online through the department's website. Non-emergency reports may include car break-ins, child custody interference, or identity theft. Police Chief Eddie Garcia said that the change will improve public safety. Residents who lack access to a computer or the internet can make a report by using a public computer at the library, or by using a kiosk at the DPD headquarters or at city hall. (Fox 4 News)
  2. For the third year, the City of Dallas is offering the Teen All-Access Pass. This pass is available for teenagers aged 13-17 and offers free admission to local sites such as the Dallas Zoo, the African American Museum at Fair Park, and the Dallas Arboretum. This year's pass also includes access to the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, Shakespeare Dallas, and a water park. There are 10,000 Teen All-Access Passes available on a first-come, first-served basis at any recreation center in the city, and more information is available here. (Fox 4 News)
  3. The Dallas County Sheriff's Office is trying to identify a Good Samaritan who they say assisted an individual who fell out of a truck. On Jun. 26, Carlos Vazquez, 21, suffered a fatal head wound after falling out of a pickup truck on Lawson Road. Officials believe that a Good Samaritan who was driving a white SUV stopped and assisted Vazquez back into the truck, although he was later pronounced dead at Baylor Hospital in Sunnyvale. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the sheriff's office at VCU@dallascounty.org or 214-589-2323. (CBS News)
