  1. According to Mesquite police, thieves broke into a jewelry store and stole $2 million in merchandise over the weekend. Police investigators said the suspects initially broke into a former Sears store in the Town East Mall and then continued to break through a wall to get to American Jewelers next door. Officers are still investigating the incident. (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)
  2. There's a new shopping center coming to northwest Dallas. The shopping center will be built at Walnut Street and Marsh Lane, replacing the old building destroyed in October 2019 by a tornado. The damage to North Dallas at the time amounted to $1.5 billion. (WBAP News/Talk)
  3. A shooting left a young boy dead in southern Dallas on Sunday. The shooting occurred at 2:00 p.m. at the Signature Oaks Apartments by I-45 and Illinois Avenue. According to reports, two juvenile girls were in an altercation when one fired shots at the other. The 11-year-old boy was a bystander; he was hit by the bullet and killed. The suspect in the shooting is 14 years old. (WFAA.com)
