Dallas-Departing Flight Diverted For Mechanical Issue
The flight was headed to Seattle but was diverted Friday morning.

An American Airlines flight headed from Dallas to Seattle was diverted to Amarillo on Friday due to a mechanical issue, the airline said.
The flight landed in Amarillo at 9:18 a.m. local time. The nature of the mechanical issue was not disclosed.
A maintenance team is troubleshooting the issue on the Airbus A321, the airline said.

"We never want to disrupt our customers’ travel plans, and we are sorry for the trouble this has caused," the airline said in a statement.
A second plane is being sent to Amarillo to take the 182 passengers and six crew members onwards to Seattle.
