Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:

  1. A mural by artist J.D. Moore celebrating Black history was unveiled in South Dallas on Juneteenth (Monday, Jun. 19). Along with other images commemorating Black history, part of the mural depicts African American soldiers who fought alongside Union soldiers in the Civil War. The mural, which took about a month to produce, is located at the South Dallas Cultural Center. (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)
  2. Dallas Police are investigating a shooting that injured three men at an apartment complex in southeast Dallas, on the 1100 block of N. Masters Drive. On Tuesday, Jun. 20, police said all three victims were in stable condition at a local hospital. Contrary to original reporting, Dallas PD has confirmed there have been no arrests yet. (WFAA.com)
  3. On Monday morning, Jun. 19, 54-year-old store clerk Nathaniel Ogbolu was fatally shot at a 7/11 convenience store on N. Hampton Road in Dallas. According to Dallas Police, an unknown armed Black male demanded money from the cash register and then allegedly shot Ogbolu several times before Ogbolu could open the register. The suspect also shot a witness at the store and then ran. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Detective David Grubbs at (214) 671-3675 or by email at david.grubbsjr@ dallaspolice.gov. (CBS News)
