Dallas Police Officer, Capital Murder Suspect Shot At Oak Cliff Apartments

A Dallas police officer was shot in the foot Wednesday afternoon at the Bahama Glen apartments by I-30 and Loop 12. He's recovering at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

The apartments are located near Kessler Park in west Oak Cliff.

The capital murder suspect, who DPD spokesperson Kristin Lowman said opened fire first, was also shot. A car parked nearby the suspect had multiple bullet holes in it. Chopper 11 was over the scene as first responders performed CPR on him. They worked on the suspect for quite some time as he lay motionless on the grass. He was eventually transported to the hospital.
