Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:

  1. On Friday, Jun. 9, the City of Dallas released its monthly Technology Accountability Report, or TAR, for May, and many expected more information about the ransomware attack that affected city websites and systems. But the report stated, "As there is still an ongoing investigation into this event, only information which can be released publicly is included in this report." About five days ago, the city released an update saying the systems are more than 90 percent restored and the city will continue to work with "cybersecurity experts on additional steps to further enhance our security posture." (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
  2. Dallas County deputies arrested a man who reportedly wanted to commit "suicide by cop" on Jun. 8. The man allegedly was parked in a black Lexus across the street from the Dallas County jail complex, but fled when deputies approached. The deputies chased the man all the way to the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, where they caught up with the man at Randol Mill after he allegedly ditched his gun in the stadium. He was then arrested for outstanding warrants. (KRLD)
