Here are the top three stories today in Dallas:

  1. Dallas was recently ranked one of the best cities to celebrate the Fourth of July, according to a 2023 WalletHub ranking. Dallas ranked No. 8 thanks to its ability to "balance holiday cost and fun."   2. Due to the excessive heat warning that's currently in place, Cedar Ridge Preserve announced that it will be altering its hours to close early the next few days. Through this Friday, Jun. 29, the preserve will be open from 6:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m., rather than its usual hours of dawn until dusk. (FOX 4 News Dallas-Fort Worth)
  3. Dallas real estate firm August Real Estate recently purchased 17 buildings in the Exposition Park neighborhood near Fair Park. The firm said that it plans on making improvements to some of the properties and that there is potential for vertical development in the future. Right now, however, August Real Estate said that its focus is on improving the tenant experience. (dallasinnovates.com)
