Dallas Zoo's annual 'Dollar Day' events returns
Exciting zoo adventure for just $1: Dallas Zoo reveals 'Dollar Day' dates

Dallas, Texas - As summer begins, the Dallas Zoo is getting ready for its annual 'Dollar Day' events. The zoo's leaders confirmed the dates for these popular days last Thursday. During these special days, anyone can visit the zoo for just $1 per person.
This year, the Dollar Days are set for Thursday, July 13, and Tuesday, August 8, according to Dallas Metro News. If you're planning to visit the zoo on these days, you should know there are some changes to how things usually work.
Unlike normal days, on Dollar Days, you must buy your tickets online. You won't be able to buy tickets at the gate on these days.

To beat the Texas summer heat, the zoo will open earlier at 8:30 a.m. on Dollar Days. When you buy your tickets, you can pick what time you want to go to the zoo.

The zoo's leaders suggest buying your tickets as soon as possible. They are limiting the number of tickets sold, just like previous years, so they might sell out quickly.
Since parking might be hard to find on Dollar Days, you're advised to use other ways to get to the zoo, like ride-sharing services or the DART. But if you still want to park at the zoo, remember you'll need to pay a $10 parking fee.
The zoo said in a news release, "Each year, the Dallas Zoo holds Dollar Days to show appreciation for the community’s support by offering lower admission costs and special deals throughout the park. Dollar Days make the zoo accessible to all and provide an affordable experience the entire family can enjoy."
